From Memography

Alpha phase: October 22-28, 2005

Memography was shown to a few key individuals in the fields of library science, information retrieval, knowledge management, and taxonomy. We also solicited comments from Semantic Web specialists.

Beta phase: October 28 - November 3, 2005

The beta phase sought comments from members of the Information Architecture Institute, from the ACM SIG-IR (Information Retrieval), and from subscribers to a popular Taxonomy Community of Practice. If memography is to succeed, it will be because information architects help their clients to add value to taxonomies. Turning taxonomies into memespaces and tagging content with memelinks greatly increases the return on investment (ROI) on taxonomy development.

Public website launches: November 4, 2005

Peter Morville announced the memography wiki and the memetic web blog on his findability blog.

We hope to make Memography and Memetic Web pages on Wikipedia.
